Great customer service, small drawers
I really liked the look of these nightstands with the white, wood combo and mid-century style. I ordered a pair. One arrived badly damaged. The customer service was quite good and they quickly sent a replacement once I’d proven the problem. Assembly was super easy. The only bummer was/is the drawers. I fell for the ad photo that showed over-ear headphones fitting inside. They absolutely do not. Not close. And the drawers are not on tracks… which is good bc tracks can break, but bad bc the slots they run along aren’t super tight. IOW, there’s a bit of play or wobble in the drawers. I mean, it’s fast furniture prices, not handcrafted stuff here. You don’t see the difference in quality, but you feel it. Still way nicer than some paneled particle board stuff I’ve seen… this has real wood in the right places, p board where you don’t care. Overall, I’m happy with em mostly bc of how they look. Just wish there had been an option for either a deeper, one-drawer nightstand (so it’d fit my stuff) or a small drawer and open cubby.

Must hang in studs
This is a gorgeous little hanging unit but it definitely needs to be secured into the wall studs.We mounded as instructed with drywall anchors and immediately knew that wasn’t going to last and the wall damage would have been severe.** do not buy this if you’re not prepared to mount the French cleats into studs or you’ll mess up your wall.Otherwise, I would have given it a 5.

Love the look of these bedside floating nightstands. These worked beautifully for my husband and I, we only had enough room on either side of our bed for some something small. They are made very well and seem very sturdy. The process to attach them to the wall isn’t the easiest, they provide you with a template that does help some but they tend to pull off of the wall a little, which does bug me.

Compact & affordable, but poor finish quality.
I searched for several weeks to find a smaller-sized mid-century-style night stand to fit on either side of our king bed, because we have a very limited “indented” wallspace on our headboard wall. Luckily, this fit just right, with only about an inch to spare on either side.The drawers are fairly shallow, and I was barely able to fit my home defense item case inside the lower drawer.I am disappointed about the inconsistencies in the finish. I do realize this is a manufactured faux “wood”, but unfortunately one of the two night stands has a noticeable light “splotch” defect on the side, and the other has a very obvious veneer seam on the side, and you can feel it catch your fingernail and start to peel. I suppose I kind of expected this, because I found that this is a white-labeled & mass-produced product re-sold under several different brand names.

Well made, easy set up, looks fabulous!
The Harper side table says 15 minute assembly and it took just that. Far better quality than I expected and they look awesome.! I will have no worries about them tipping or loading a heavier lamp on them.The drawers are wooden slide, so, if you were looking for the fast metal bracket slides, you may be surprised, but these at least will not have their hardware fall off after 15 minutes. A little soap on the runner did the trick!For a minute I couldn’t find the handles to the drawers, but then realized they had put them in the drawer holes backwards!! Such a clever idea- nothing lost- and it was easy to switch them around. The entire thing was packaged quite smartly, and they arrived in perfect condition. Thank you Nathan James Company!!

Adorable but a couple issues
These are fabulous in terms of fitting my tiny space and mid century design. However, a few issues: drawers very shallow and not on tracks so they do not slide easily; the white attracts dust and soot like a magnet; the white coating dents and chips and scratches very easily

Nice quality
The dressers looked and felt really nice and seemed to be good quality. However, the front area around the drawers looked like a plastic edge banding. It was a solid color and didn’t match the wood grain or look of the drawers and rest of the nightstand.One thing to note that doesn’t affect my rating, but is an FYI for those who (like me) are considering purchasing this set based on recommendations that they are a dupe or a color match for the Thuma bed frame – the Oak Brown nightstands do NOT match the Walnut Thuma bed.

Solid product, GREAT customer service!
I normally don’t put up online reviews, but I was so impressed that I had to say something! I ordered two of the acacia wood Harper tables for my bedroom, and I was blown away by how easy the set up was, they advertised a “15 min set up”, but I think it took me maybe 5 minutes in total. I keep telling my husband that I put both tables together faster then it took him to make a cup of coffee! They looked great and worked perfectly for the space intended. My only issue was when putting one of the tables together, I noticed a crack in the wood on the inside of the lower drawer. I sent an email to their support team where they promptly took care of it and got a replacement sent out quickly! The customer support team made sure to update me each stage of the process, and even followed up with me to make sure I received the replacement and was happy with it. 10/10! I was more than content at that point, but their team went above and beyond and I was surprised with a box of Godiva chocolates and a sweet note from the team.I would 100% buy from this company again.

Replaced Original
After reading the mixed reviews, I was hesitant to order, but I am glad I did. We did not have all the chipping and scratching issues some reviewers described.However, I gave this 4 stars due to the need to have the original replaced.This is the perfect table for a small nightstand in my daughter’s tiny room. Love the look. Took about an hour to assemble. Followed the directions….appreciated the humor in them. With that said, at the last 2 steps of assembly, there were 2 defective pieces. The screw to hold the drawer pull had poor threading and the track for the drawer was bent and the final screw would not work to hold it in place. Real bummer! Ordered a replacement, which shipped very quickly. To my absolute delight….the new one came completely assembled, other than having to attach the legs and the drawer pulls. Awesome! The second table is of MUCH better quality than the first. Maybe Nathan James upgraded the design. So happy I didn’t settle and ordered the replacement. Much, Much nicer! Definitely work the purchase price for us. Looks adorable in my teen’s room.

Perfect in every way

Perfect for my needs and I love the style!
I needed to replace my bigger more bulky and square looking bedside end tables recently and seen these and just loved the style!I got the black with natural wood color drawers. I already got compliments asking where I purchased them.They arrived practically assembled, all I needed to do was attach the legs and I was done.Mind you, that the drawers aren’t big for storage of say clothing etc…But they are perfect for stuff you might need to store by the bed out of sight, like say, dental retainer or reading glasses etc…And the other drawer can hold your TV remotes or a book.Anyway, I am extremely happy finding these on Amazon. The price was reasonable and the quality was excellent.Mine arrived undamaged and shipped safely packaged. Everything like drawer alignment was perfect.The drawers themselves are simple construction, no complicated metal slides to fiddle with and no need for oiling, it is a wood track that the slim drawers slide on, simple! I prefer that in a way.If the look of this calls out to you the way they did to me, then these are the ones for you.After all, you will need to look at them each night before bed, so they should be something that brings you joy.I highly recommend them.

Best Customer Service EVER! & Perfect Nightstand
I ordered two of the Harper nightstands and they arrived timely, however, one of the boxes had some damage. The nightstands were easy to assemble, but the front piece of one of the drawers had come unglued from the entire drawer. I reached out to Nathan James to let them know and to request to either return the nightstand with the broken drawer or to request a new drawer be delivered. The customer service representative was incredibly helpful and instead of having to mess with returning the damaged nightstand, he was having a brand new nightstand delivered to me for no additional cost! And the replacement arrived in record time. Amazing.A few weeks after receiving the replacement nightstand, I received a package from the customer service representative I worked with. It was a box of Godiva chocolates with a note apologizing again for the problem with my order. I have never worked with a company with such fast, cooperative, and compassionate customer service. I will definitely be ordering from Nathan James again. And the nightstands are absolutely beautiful and are exactly what I needed for my master bedroom!

Sturdy. Looks nice
We changed out the drawer pulls. And we bought two to stack on each side of the bed. Fit perfectly for our needs. Love I can vacuum underneath and fit a small step stool underneath. Seems well made. Look nice. Lots of room on top and in the drawers. Very happy with them.

Nice design, not perfect but affordable price

Easy to assemble – manual was very clear. Even though I knew the measurements, the size felt a little bulky. The material is very heavy and the French cleat isn’t super tight, so there is a little play. The drawers openings are 3mm too wide so the drawers wiggle and move around. But you get what you pay for, and this unit was very affordable so I won’t be returning it. Nice design, wood is clean and smooth.

I researched many websites for several weeks to find just the right nightstands for my bedroom and found these Nathan James side tables to be perfect. The price was so reasonable, too. I ordered two in June, 2020 and they arrived when expected. I put together the first one easily and was impressed with the sturdiness and quality. Then I opened the second one and that one had a broken drawer – the screws weren’t holding the front on and the adhesive had come undone as well.I emailed customer service with photos and receipts and they offered to send a completely new nightstand to me for free, without me having to return a thing! Initially, they estimated the new one would arrive in a few days, but with COVID and the need to replenish inventory for this particular item, it took much longer. I was fine with waiting so I could have the matching set. By the way, they also offered me a full refund, had I not wanted to wait. It arrived mid-August and was just perfect. They even sent me a surprise delivery of chocolate to thank me for my patience!! It really made me feel appreciated.Even though there were some snags with ordering, I would not hesitate to order from them again. They have many pieces of furniture that I really like and they will be my first thought when upgrading my home. The customer service experience I received was truly above and beyond. They make lovely, good-quality pieces of furniture and will take care of anything that goes wrong. Every interaction I had with my customer service representative, Claire, really made me feel that the company cared and that making it right was their number one priority. Happy customer over here!

Great Seller
I don’t love writing reviews (this might be my first ever on amazon after many years and purchases), but seller was fantastic working with us to resolve some minor defects – a chipped corner and spots on a drawer. The chipping was quite small and easy to touch up. Decided to keep the Nathan James Nightstand because honestly, you can’t see the defects unless you go looking for them. I didn’t come by this lightly as I have OCD and need things to be perfect, but it was a solid and well-made piece otherwise. Drawers function well. Color is accurate to image; a nice light acorn, think West Elm. Really appreciated how responsive Melanie was, she understood our disappointment and reached out to secure satisfaction and answer all questions. It’s sweet that they sign their emails with Customer Happiness. I would purchase from them again.

West Elm style-NOW easy to assemble!
This is a cute and mid-century modern bedside table good for small spaces. We bought two for our new master bedroom in our new home. Disregard the old reviews that say it’s hard to assemble, as of August 2021 It now comes with the top completely assembled. All you have to do is screw the two pieces of (4) legs into the already fully assembled top (rectangular top with drawers inserted already. It literally takes 5-10 minutes or less to assemble. So much easier than IKEA stuff and feels higher quality than our last IKEA white nightstands.One thing to keep in mind is it’s a bit low- we have a low to the ground bed with no box-springs, so it’s perfect, but make sure you measure the height in your bedroom if it’s next to a high-ish bed.As far as looks, I’m so happy with it! This looks like it came from West Elm. I’ve bought Pottery Barn furniture in the past and am very happy with this quality- looks modern, sleek and well made. The drawers are a bit tight to slide out (this will probably improve with time), but otherwise LOVE It. Price is right- product is great!

Great quality for price! I was afraid they were going to be made out of really cheap material and not sturdy, but quite the opposite. The gold/brass handle gives it the modern upscaled touch. Looks like West Elm’s Mid-Century Nightstand
I purchased two of these as a less expensive alternative to ones I found on West Elm. Let me start by saying, if you are at all familiar with IKEA directions… these directions were much harder to follow. I decided to time myself based off other people’s reviews, knowing I’m pretty good at building based off instructions. (Military veteran who worked with aircraft.) The first assembly took 52mins, while the second took 27mins. The first assembly was missing a screw while the second assembly had an additional screw. These were two separate assemblies in two separate boxes, so if you order more than one, I would suggest getting the kit bag out so you’re not out looking for scrounge. DO NOT USE A MOTORIZED HAND TOOL TO ASSEMBLE. A standard screwdriver is all you need and all I would suggest as you don’t want to over tighten and break the particle board. I am 100% satisfied with this purchase in regards to value:appearance. Honestly, go onto West Elm and type in “Mid-Century Nightstand” and you’ll find the same design as this, but for $299. I’m sure the materials of the West Elm ones are nicer, but let’s be real… do you plan on keeping this furniture for 30yrs? Probably not, so why spend 3x the price? Just go for it, you won’t be disappointed!

Buy this Night Stand
If you like the look of this table, buy this one! I was concerned with the low price that it would be poorly made. It’s not. Very sturdy, easy to assemble and beautiful. And they may have the best customer service I’ve ever experienced. Had a small issue with one drawer front, and I contacted Nathan James and got several messages updating me and even one after to make sure I was completely satisfied. Unusually responsive and thorough for customer service in 2022! One update to my original review: I received a small thank you gift in the mail from Nathan James for giving them the chance to provide me with customer service! Not only do they make excellent furniture and provide superior customer service, they thanked me for being a customer. I wish they could teach other companies how to build brand loyalty. I’m already looking for another piece of Nathan James furniture after such a great experience.

A Great Find

I was looking for a nightstand that was mid century modern and after searching for months I came across this unique little stand. The wood color and finish is phenomenal and has plenty of storage with the two drawers. It even comes with a set of stick on sponge bottoms for the legs (which I’ve already misplaced 😂). The only reason I did not give this item 4 and not 5 stars is I feel the drawers themselves are a little bit wobbly when pulling them out/ sliding it back in. It’s not extreme, just something that I noticed. Despite that, I will still purchase as this too me was too cute to pass.

Classy, chic, wonderful – plus amazing customer service
I’ve had two of these nightstands for a few years now, and they are absolutely gorgeous. The wood color is beautiful in-person – very rich and vibrant. The legs are great if you like the mid-century modern look. (The nightstand is super easy to assemble as well.) And the knobs are very cool and unique. I’ve gotten multiple compliments on these!On top of it all, Nathan James customer service is INCREDIBLE. Very responsive and helpful. When I had damage on one of the nighstands from a move, and when I lost a knob, they came to the rescue. Best customer service I’ve ever dealt with!

A little banged up in transit but absolutely in love
Easiest things to assemble in weeks — I just moved to a new place. The black and warm wood with brass handles is exactly what I’ve been looking for and they didn’t cost $200 like most I’ve seen. Some edges got small dents/scrapes (the delivery man wasn’t that gentle, I saw him plop them on my stoop lol). They also don’t look as clearly nightstand/bedroom as others, so they could make great end tables in other spaces, too. I got both for $89.99 and pounced on the deal!

Classy quality nightstand
These were super easy to put together and included the hardware necessary to do so. It is easier with an electric drill though. Assembly is super quick and they are very sturdy ones put together!I bought a set of these when they were on sale and I’m very happy with my purchase! I don’t know if I would buy them at full price though.My only actual complaint is that the drawers don’t have tracks so the sliding quality is so so. Otherwise they are great nightstands!

Wicked cute
I really like this nightstand. I searched for hours to find the right one that was a reasonable price. This fits what I want. The one thing I will say is that the drawers width are kind of small. I personally do not look much at height and width because it’s confusing to me. But this specific drawer can’t even have a full benedrly pill bottle. Standing up and laying down. I hope this visual is helpful as to the width being small.

Damaged item, but they made it right
The nightstand we received had a couple of defects—a scratch and a chip on the MDF surfaces (one on a drawer front, which was visible; the other was on the underside). We wrote the company and asked for a new drawer front, but they explained that they didn’t have replacement parts, and sent us a whole new nightstand to replace the damaged one. I appreciated their responsiveness and follow-through on this. The nightstand itself is nice-looking and a good value for the price.

I bought two of these as bedside tables. They are SO easy to assemble – it took 5 minutes tops. They are solid wood and look fantastic in the room. I love them! As a side note, I had to contact customer support about a piece of missing hardware, and they were the absolute best to work with. SO nice. I wish I needed more furniture now so I could buy another piece from them. Nathan James has a new big fan.

The night stand itself is easy to assemble, the instructions are fun and full of silly puns. The quality of the night stand is okay and serves its purpose. It definitely isn’t a perfect piece of furniture and no matter how careful you follow the instructions it will be uneven or some issues will occur. Unfortunately, when I was on the very last part of assembly I realized my package was missing specific pieces. I emailed the company directly and they quickly sent the missing pieces, when I stumbled upon more issues the company was very helpful and sent me a completely new night stand and let me keep the other defective one. The customer service is amazing and they are so patient and helpful. Today I unexpectedly received a box of chocolates from the company as an apology for the issues. If you have any issues with your night stand I would recommend contacting the company directly and they will help immediately.

Very Happy I Bought it . . . BUT easy to assemble? NOOOOO!!
I like everything of t6his table -especially for the price- It actually goes well with my expensive vanity and bed, BUT easy to assemble? No, it easy at all. I was lucky my daughter was here with me. Before she got married lived in different cities and 4 different apartments and each time she bought new Ikea stuff that she had to assemble by herself. Besides being very smart and well organized she knew how to do it. With my little help, it took her TWO INTENSE HOURS to make it ready to bring it to my room. Once in my bedroom, I LOVED IT. I think ONLY a PROFESIONAL can do it in less time. If she hadn’t been here with me, I know I would have given up and put it in the garbage the next day. Great piece of furniture but not quick assemble.Would I buy something like the table again? ONLY if I have a professional to do it.

Perfect!!
These nightstands have been in my cart for a year and I’m so glad I finally decided to buy them. Yes the drawers are a little shallow and yes they are a little flimsy, BUT for the price these nightstands are absolutely stunning. I’ve been searching for the right nightstands and just never found them and I couldn’t justify spending $1000+ with someone like West Elm. They do the trick!

I’m obsessed. They match my beautiful Thuma bed
I bought the gorgeous Thuma bed but didn’t want to splurge on their nightstands and wanted something with more character. I used Reddit to find out what others purchased and found these. They match my bed almost perfectly and I love the simple mid-century style. The pulls are beautiful too! Assembly was so easy, I just had to attach the legs and put the hardware on. The price is great and they are well made. They are on the small side but I consider that a feature over bulkier options.

Great Customer Service, high quality product
This photo is not styled well, but it was incredibly easy to put together! It literally took my about 10 minutes, and majority of the time I was taking it out of the box. It was packaged well, no damages (and I ordered 2). One I did not receive hardware for, but it was very easy to access the company’s number and request it. Customer service was great! I actually called outside of their business hours and didn’t leave a message, I got a call back the next day:) my new hardware is on the way! One reason I’m not upset about the lack of hardware is because the nightstand is still usable. The legs criss-cross for majority of the support and then the box drawers just sit on top. It is normally screwed into place, and once I get the hardware I’ll be able to. I added a photo of it without the hardware (it’s the photo without drawer pulls), still usable until I get it.

Looks nice from afar
No furniture is perfect however the imperfections really bothered me. From far away the night stand is very mid century looking and nice especially next to our thuma bed frame. Didn’t want to spend a ridiculous amount on a thuma nightstand. Not sure why the Amazon won’t let me pick the photos I took to upload regarding the finish and imperfections. Overall for the price it’s okay. Assembly was very very easy.

Great tables, especially for the price point!
I feel badly for the folks who received damaged tables, and also for those who had to fully assemble theirs.I’m assuming the company produces these differently now, because I ordered 2 and they both came with the main portion fully assembled with drawers in place, and I just had to put on the legs which took about 5 minutes.The tables are quite hefty for their size, and feel very sturdy. The corners were tight and no chipping anywhere. The boxes were lined with thick foam panels, so even though on one box there were two slight punctures from transit, it would have taken a lot more force to do any damage to the table itself.VERY pleased with the purchase, especially for the price!One thing to note, the drawers are only about 3 inches deep, so don’t expect a ton of storage.

Excellent company and customer service
I ordered this product for my son’s room. I had looked at so many nightstands, butI fell in love with this one immediately. I opened the box and the unit was packed beautifully. But when I took the nightstand out of the box, the front door panel fell off and no hardware was included. . I immediately contacted the company and to my surprise, they shipped a new nightstand at no cost. I was astonished. Customer service with Robin was amazing. She was so professional and wanted to help me with the problem. She also followed up with emails so I could know when the new nightstand would arrive. I received the new bedside table, it was also packed carefully and also did not have to return the broken one. I highly recommend this company. The nightstand looks beautiful in my son’s room now.

Perfect night stand!
I am a fan of Nathan James furniture. This is no exception. Also, it comes 80% assembled. I liked the fact that I didn’t have to assemble the drawers. Just added the legs and it was done! Good quality and beautiful piece of furniture.

Looks vintage!
Loved these nightstands, they are simple, perfect size, and vintage looking! The doors don’t hold too much, but we were looking to minimize and so these turned out to be perfect! They were easy to put together, are pretty sturdy, and lightweight. Love the color!

Beautiful and sturdy
These nightstands were very well packed, very well made and absolutely stunning. Instructions provide a template so you can drill the holes easily. The drawers operate smoothly. The price almost doubled from when we first saw them… we didn’t find anything viable so paid the higher price but we are very satisfied with this purchase!

Easy assembly, cute nightstands
I was watching these for a price drop and managed to get them for $50 each, an absolute steal in my opinion. I assembled them very easily by myself, within an hour. The drawers are basic wooden slides, no wheels or tracks. They are also relatively small. There was a blemish on each stand on the outside, but both marks were located in areas I could hide them against a wall. That’s the only reason they get 4 stars instead of 5. For the price, totally worth it for replacing my old IKEA stands.

Looks Great, Built Great, Amazing customer service
EDIT: Not only did Nathan James immediately fix my issues, but the process was seamless. Within just a week I had a brand new, perfect condition, nightstand at my door without having to return the old piece. Nathan James is the single best furniture brand on Amazon hands down! The Customer service is simply fantasticThis is a great looking piece of furniture, it is well built, and holds up well. I cannot recommend this brand enough!!!__________________________________This is a fantastic-looking nightstand, it is built out of solid wood and comes in only three pieces making assembly very easy. The drawers are not on slides but move well, making the stand look attractive. It certainly looks much more expensive than it is.One problem: my unit came with a large chip in it, and it has been a week since I have reached out to Nathan James with no luck hearing back. I will update this review if they do respond eventually, but for now it can be said that customer support is lackluster. The item was packaged well which likely means that my piece left the factory damaged which indicated poor quality control. I would hesitate paying full price for this item.

Gorgeous, Sturdy, Expensive
It is beautiful!!! I will say it’s a bit expensive for such a small little night stand. I would caution anyone needing a larger drawer space. The two drawers are very tiny. I fee it would have been so much better to use that space for ONE drawer not two. On the plus side, it wasn’t as hard to assemble as many have said. However, we have put together a LOT of ridiculous IKEA products. So if you’re used to that, you will appreciate this assembly and not have issues. The design is gorgeous, it’s very sturdy, and was perfect height our platform bed. So happy!

This is a completely flawed design
I was so excited to get this item. I looked over so many styles and read reviews. I am a fairly handy person around the house. I have my own workshop. I followed the directions absolutely. I used the template. I used my level. It looked great! Tonight as I was getting ready for bed, I put my phone on the nightstand along with my vintage clock radio and it fell off the French cleats. It cannot hold any weight whatsoever. I installed it absolutely correctly. The cleats aren’t long enough to support the weight of the nightstand. Even without the 3 lb burden of my phone and radio, it was very shaky. Sadly, returning this and trying Wayfair. I don’t want another one of this design.

Good. Mostly.
The two nightstands I ordered arrived fast and packaged well. I love the mid-century modern looks, and the nightstands look at as good in person as they do in the pictures, in my opinion.I took a star off due to some quality issues. On the first night stand, one of the 5 screws that hold the legs to the bottom would just not tighten all the way and, as a result, the log isn’t quite solid. But, since the table rests on the legs, it’s not a big deal. The weight and the other 4 screws will hold everything together just fine.The second nightstand was discolored on the bottom. Like the paint hadn’t been applied properly, the bottom was damaged, or maybe it was exposed to heat. Either way, there’s a very noticeable square, about 75% of the bottom, that’s discolored. The visible part of the nightstand is fine, and nobody will ever see the bottom, so it’s not a big deal.I get that people don’t shop for heirloom furniture online. And these nightstands are not that by any stretch. But, the quality issues, even for cheaper fiber board/press board/whatever these are, are concerning. I would be hesitant to order from this brand again. Thankfully, the defects on my two nightstands didn’t require a return. But, I can only image the hassle or returning a larger piece of furniture.

Nice table, but color not as expected
I just received one of my nightstands yesterday. It is very heavy and sturdy, which is a plus. The two things I don’t love are a) the color isn’t quite as photoed. I purchased “Nathan James Luke Modern Nightstand Side Accent or End Table with Storage Drawer, 1 Light Brown” and I feel there is more of a rich, almost orange undertone. I was expecting more of a blonde/light brown-grayish tone. And b) I wish it were a little taller. It’s definitely on the shorter end & my preference would be for it to be about 4 inches taller than it is. Ultimately I will keep this because it’d be a pain to unassemble & re-box to ship back. Hopefully,it’ll grow on me and I won’t regret my decision. Lastly, I bought these marked “used-good condition”. There were a few small scrapes that were white and stood out, but I took a grey marker and was able to hide them well enough. I don’t know if I would have kept these had a paid full-price, but for $90, they’ll do.
